Magpul Enhanced Self Leveling Follower... NEW Gen 2 Magpul Enhanced Self Leveling Follower- Drop in replacement for USGI 30 round magazines. The Magpul followers were designed to increase the mean time to a magazine related failure. When looking at reliable rifle magazines from around the world such as the Steyr Aug, G36 and most recently the HK SA80A2 mags, they all had quad anti tilt followers. All these magazines also had a much higher mean time to failure when averaged over a meaningful sample (say 100 people shooting 500 rounds a day for 3 days). Out of the box the HK SA80A2 magazine probably the most reliable M16 compatible magazine made and has a mean time to failure rate twice that of a US GI mag (unless it gets rusty but that is another story). The aim with the Magpul follower was to achieve 80% of that reliability increase over a USGI mag with a simple retrofit of the follower. Featuring Patent Pending 4 way anti-tilt design and Teflon additive.
