Who all makes a drop in match trigger for the ar-15 and who in Canada sells them. What would be the best match trigger for tactical shooting not long range match shooting, or is there any difference.

One thing to be careful of is that if you are shooting DCRA the min trigger pull is about 5.5lbs... After market two stage triggers are sometimes too light for this.

I have Rock River Arms 'match' triggers in two of my ARs, both break over the 5.5lb DCRA limit. As far a tuned drop in trigger goes, they are one of, if not the cheapest option out there.

I put an RRA 2 stage in my AR only because all of my milsurps are 2 stage, and once you get use to something..........

I've used the RRA and the JARD. Of the two, the JARD is much nicer when set up properly. You can swap out the trigger spring easily if you need a different weight. The RRA is truly plug and play, no adjustment required. The JARD took me several hours to get just right, but it is worth the trouble.

I like that on the JARD, you control the sear and disconnector engagement, pre-travel and over travel, plus the engagement of the safety.

For Tac Rifle, I thought I would try the JP Enterprises spring kit...it reduces the stock trigger weight to about 4 1/2#. When I tried my AR out on the range, I was a bit concerned about the audibly slower "lock time" of the hammer when I pulled the trigger. The JP hammer spring is quite a bit weaker than the OEM spring. Sure enough, I was able to "beat" the gun's cycling when firing a rapid fire string of 6 rounds with the trigger pull. I then reinstalled just the OEM hammer spring, which put the trigger weight back up to about 6 lbs...but I could not "beat" the gun cycling after I reinstalled the OEM hammer spring, leaving the JP trigger spring and return spring in place. It's plenty light enough for Tac Rifle and is bog reliable.

What about match triggers for longrange competion, what do people think of the
chipmccormick drop in trigger system. what system would fit into the armalite, would it be the small hole pin size or the large hole pin size. What is the differrence between single stage and double stage. Thanks

If you want to try a two stage and not pay too much the RRA is a good one. I really like two stage triggers... all military rifles should have them. The AR15 is the only one that I've shot that doesn't.

Again read this.

I have also put the JP reduced power spring kit. At about 8 $ usd (Brownells with armorer's discount price), it's the cheapest way of getting a 4.5-5.5 lbs trigger.

I didn't polish the trigger face & sear, but i lubed them with Tetra Gun Grease.
This trigger is plenty good for Service Rifle matches.
If I buy another lower someday, I'll probably try out the RRA 2-stage.

I use the Armalite 2 stage Match trigger,, and it is just fine. It is non-adjustable,, which is probably at good thing at times.

x2 , the Armalite 2 stage is the only trigger I have used since it`s the first and only AR I have. How does this one compare to others?

Personally I find the Armalite Match trigger autrocious -- I had one in my AR10T -- I promptly swaped it for a KAC one.

I find them grittier than the three other Match triggers I have experimented with.

Even Diemaco adds the KAC trigger to the C7CT - given their cheapskate mentality towards somethings it shoudl tell you something.

Jeez Kevin AR10? I don`t think it`s the same trigger as a M15A4(T) , I guess I don`t know squat about AR triggers but how can you find a trigger that a fly could trigger gritty? It`s so light and crisp, lol I thought it was a caddy you say it`s crap :)
