Anyone have a good source (book or online) about early purchasers and productions of the AR-15 (civilian and military)?

Here is a listing of assigned serial number blocks by contract / market. Note that the entire serial number range was not used in many cases, so it isn't a good source for production totals.

Looking again at my first link it is incomplete on the subject of foreign sales. The reality is the first 20,000 AR15s were essentially commercial offerings, made by the factory on spec and offered to anyone who was qualified and willing to pay. On this page they all just seem to be lumped together as Air Force rifles. The Air Force no doubt took most of this range, but the project AGILE guns are in here as well as numerous sales of small batches for trials to several nations. For example, many of the first batch of 300 went to Malaysia and India.
