Well I'm almost ready to buy an AR.
So my question is what is the difference in quality between Stag and Bushmaster?
I'm leaning towards the Stag Model 2RT from Arms east, but i hate doing things through the mail. The bushmaster I can pickup locally.

Thanx

Personally...I think the STAG is a better built firearm and it, along with Colt adhere most closely to true "Mil-Spec". Don't be afraid of mail order. Walt at ArmsEast is a great guy to deal with, plus you'll be saving your provincial sales tax!

Quite a few people talk about "quality" of AR15 manufacturers and strength of parts, etc. But I've never seen a single post where someone has had an actual problem with a certain manufacturer because of "quality". I'm no AR professional, but if I had to guess why this is, I'd think this is because when all you do with your rifle is take it back and forth to a range to shoot at sheets of paper, there really isn't any way for things to break or wear out.
I'd recomend just getting whatever floats your boats best.

With the offerings available today in Canada I'd agree with you, there are no real dogs in the race. If quality or strength of parts is the concern, make sure the particular item you go with is coverered by a factory warranty and you'll be good to go regardless.

Smaksum, AEI would like to see you buy locally as well. If you decide you want a 2T, tell your dealer to give us a call!

Congrats on your deciding to buy an AR-15. Every Canadian shooter should have one on their ticket! :D

Cheers.
