looking for advice/experience/starting points for a load for an AR 15.
Not any AR 15 i've had a few and loaded for them , i'm looking to copy the results i get from the Fed. gold match 77gr. ammo. My Rock River loves it.

I've bought 500 of the 77 gr. Sierra's and i'm gonna work up a load for mine.
I was just looking for someone who's loaded these successfully.

Let me know what you,ve tried.

Thanks

M.

What is the twist?

I have a 1:9 twist AR-15 coming, I am planing on using 77gn SMK's. My load for my Rem700P is 24gn of Varget, I plan to start 22 gn of Varget and work my way up to a load for my AR-15

Just looking for known good loads for "77 GR. BULLETS" I'm trying to copy the results i get from "Federal match 77gr. ammo"
I've already bought the bullets i'm only looking for powder types and weights that YOU'VE tried and got good luck from.
And no, 77's will likely not work well from a 1-9 they DO though work fantastic through my 1-8 Rock River.

Roberti11 give me a call form loads on the 1-9 I have what you need.

Thanks smak daddy I have both powders here, never had much luck with varget in an AR before but i'll try it again, these are different bullets and a different gun.
I use RE 15 for my 6 BR.

Normally you would think that a 77gn bullet would not fly well in a 1:9 twist, but the SMK's are shorter than the Hornady 75gn amax bullets, in my bolt .223 I get groups ~ 0.4 inches, and it is a 1:9 twist
