AR-15 stoppage - Bolt Override tool or other?

Earlier this winter, I was shooting my Norc CQ's when I had a nasty stoppage where a round (somehow) chambered backwards, with the bullet wedged by the top of the bolt under the charging handle and the casing jammed by the front of the bolt (similar to the video on this promo video for the Leatherman MUT - http://www. leatherman.com/product/MUT)

My "bolt partially to the rear" IA didn't quite work out for me, and it ended up that I had to physically rip the cartridge in half with a Gerber, to clear it (after about half an hour of screwing around with it and scratching up my ejection port pretty good).

I was pretty intrigued in the MUT promo by the "Bolt Override tool" it has, but rather than buying another multi-tool, I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on how one might clear that stoppage or if there's a tool out there up to the task on it's own.

Thanks.
