Maybe a picture and some explanation for the newbs?

Extended tactical latch for AR-15, M16, M4 charging handles.
Installs onto your charging handle to provide easier operation.

I love my PRI Gas buster (military latch) since it's so nice on my hands, especially when wet or cold conditions are tougher on the fingers.

You must be getting "soft" in your old age Hungry? :)

Hungry here: definitely getting softer hands since my wife is trying to make me appear more mature (what a struggle..) and intelligent (like that's ever gonna happen). Time to go lift some weights at the YMCA and not use those silly weight lifters gloves. :D

I ordered a tac latch for my target AR but then I sold the AR itself in the meantime... so now I use the tac latch on my 11.5" unit.

Doesn't really benefit anything IMO... and using it with just the left side just puts too much sideways force on the charging handle. I can see it bending or breaking like that.

I bought it because I thought it would resolve the issue with scope clearance, but I don't know if it would've helped much in the end.

Yeah PRI Big Latch and gas buster...looks nice..works great... but then again I wasnt having gas blast prior to its use anyways. Maybe a better solution then a total tac latch which could break?

I have never seen one break and i ve seen alot!

What can happen though is the Tac latch, over time with very rough use will start to bend the cocking handle.
