AR-15 transfer...

Weird.......I bought my first black rifle from Questar and it took all of 1 week from the time i bought it to the time they got the confirmation to send it to me. Other then that, I think my very first restricted transfer took about 3wks to happen.......

If you are in Quebec it will take over 3 months for the CFO to approve the AR's transfer to you....

No idea why though...

today i went to the salon chasse et peche and there i found a SQ stand, so i asked to the officer there and she told me she will look why it's so long. she supposed to call me back next week. i can't beleive it's so longgggggggggggg....
next monday i'll start to call the CFC every week.

my first restricted transfer took several weeks. i had to get it from the post office, take it to the RCMP. wait until they told me it was ok, couple of weeks, then get the ATT to take it home along the designated route.

oh yah, that was 1995

Is the transfer of a AR-15 different then a handgun transfer?

I thought all restricted transfers are the same?

The Quebec CFO always delays AR15's... I got my buckmark under a week but it still took over 3 months for the AR and I purchased them within 2 months of one another.

For some reason your 1st AR15 transfer in Quebec takes about 3 months. They started doing that after Dawson. The only good news is the ones after that take 3-10 days. If you dont buy another AR during the following Year you will have to wait another 3 months on your next transfer. you can call and ##### every week and it will do you no good. Suck it up.
