What is this symbol on my upper receiver? I was just wondering what brand my upper is. Thanks!

that marking is from "cardinal forge" they make uppers for a lot of people including LMT

well, it is just the origin of the raw forging - it could be purchased by anyone to machine it to the final product.

ah, got you. any way of finding out what brand the upper is....I just bought my first ar. The barrel is a "DTI", any idea if that's a good barrel?

the barrel is a del-ton... in the USA it is about a low/mid range quality wise manufacturer... your experience may vary, their barrels are made by wilson arms for them and branded DTI.

DTI is del-ton -inc. fairly generic..
