Is the AR-180 un-restricted or restricted?

Are they avaiable in Canada? If yes, who carries them and how much are they?

Anyone have one? Are they good shooters? Do they take AR-15 magazines?

wolverine has them...bout $1050ish....

I personally am not an armalite fan..the ergonomics look abit off...but..alot seem to have them and like them...I considered one awhile ago..but dont like the physical looks of it..

non restricted

Non-restricted.

Available here. Wolverine is the main imported. You should be able to get one from most local shops. They go for around $1000-1150

I don't have one, but I've played with a few. They are not bad shooters. They feel a bit flimsy, but they work alright. They do accept standard AR mags.

Whoops..

The AR-180 is prohibited. The AR-180B is non-restricted.

Sort of slipped my mind that you might have been referring to the prohib one.

OK, thank Jebus... thought I was losing it...

The 180b, if that is what you are asking about, isn't a bad gun for the money. It is cheaper than some of the alternatives (PE-90, SL8) but doesnt have quite the same quality.... The 180b is also starting to become a good basis for a project gun, as Armedsask can testify to ;-)

No idea on the AR-180 though...

The ergos might look off but they feel great as that kooky tiger says. personally I have the stock adapter but for me form follows function and unless I can find a deal on a M4 socom my 180 is staying happily stock - no pun intended

I am also very interested in one of these (AR180B). I handled one at Milarm the other day and thought it fit me very well. Sure would be fun for spring gophers...Jeff.

But since the AR180B is NOT restricted, you can take this to a gravel pit or toss it behind the seat of your truck when you're going exploring, just like an SKS or any other non-restricted.

Right?

This makes it a LOT more attractive to me than an AR.

The main selling feature of the AR180B is that it is non-restricted and for a decent price. The fact that it uses AR15 mags and AR15 trigger parts is just a bonus.
