Ar 180

From what I have seen the AR-180 is semi auto only, what makes it 12/5 ?

AR-180 is prohibited by name I believe as being a variant of the AR18. The only version we are allowed to shoot is the AR180b, which accepts AR-15 style magazines and due to having this different lower receiver and its time of manufacture was able to escape our crazy gun laws and is classified as non-restricted. I hope I have answered that correctly.

#### it. What did they have to go and do that for ?

It sucks, but you can get the AR180b (not being made anymore, but everyonce in a while they show up on the EE). Its pretty much the same, but with a polymer lower receiver and better yet it accepts AR-15 magazines like the 10 round LAR-15 mag that is legal :D.

When ever I get asked this question, and I get asked it every day by somebody, I reply with: "Who is your member of parliament"?. I usually get a stare or a "I don't know" back to which I reply, "That's why!"

I have seen them for sale in the past but they are not the same to me, there is something about the plastic lower receiver that I can not live with.

I'm rocking a Sterling AR180 upper on an AR180B lower right now. The upper is top notch compared to the B.

And this is why I hate you… :p

Well... you don't have much of a choice... either get over it, it really isn't that bad, or wait for something new to come out... baggers can’t exactly be choosers….
