So I finally ordered some goodies for my AR-180B...

Now the technical question,

I have ordered the type 2 adapter from Josh at Stormwerkz
http://www.stormwerkz.com/Ar-180B_Carbine_Stock_Adapter.html

The question is - I want this stock on it - yes I know it doesn't mate perfectly - maybe only the threads.

Are the buffer tube dimensions all the same? will the tube from the stock I want to order fit in the the adapter ? I presume so - will it be solid?

knowing what I want to do, is this likely to work out? will I probably need a buffer tube with more threads?

Why dont you just get the type 1 adapter and the ACE stock?

They make various lengths to the original Galil style stock.

I want that cool piece of foam. - the fatter tube.

Also the AKFX is different, just doesn;t look the same I've seen em, I'd prefer the AR unit.

AND I want my rifle to look different. Every pimp needs his own style.

There may be an interference problem with the anti-rotation button on the stock, see pic.

<If> the use of such an adapter makes the buffer/tube functional in the Ar-180B, it might be just the "missing link" that was needed to slap on a slightly modified Ar upper, any opinions ?

I guess I am missing something here. I have looked at the Stormwerkz website at the folding style stocks and I can not figure out if the folding section is built into the adapter or the stock. I just got my 180 about three weeks ago and have not even shot it yet but I really think I need one of those Ace stocks in the folding configuration. I assume the folder is in certain models of the Ace stocks ........... right??

There is NO WAY to incorporate an AR15 buffer tube to work with the AR180B. Completely different bolt system. You would have to redesign the lower completely, and even then an AR15 upper WILL NOT fit on an AR180B lower, the holes won't line up, the bolt won't line up, the hammer won't line up. It just won't work with out complete redesign of the lower or upper.

Jason, the folding mech is a completely seperate piece. Go here and look around: www.riflestocks.com
