AR .22 mags

I have a Colt factory .22 conversion kit for the AR. It works fine but only has a 10 round mag. I have seen 30 round .22 mags in ShotGun News but can they be imported? Is there a source in Canada for larger than 10 round .22 mags for the AR?

The 30rd mags that you are seeing are probably Ciener mags. They do not work with the Colt conversion. Unless somebody has come up with something new, we're pretty much stuck at 10rds for the Colt kits. New 10rd DPMS mags are supposed to work with them though.

Thanks acrashb, I contacted DPMS and they were quite emphatic that their 25 round mag would indeed work with the Colt conversion. Thanks for the lead.

The DPMS site shows that they are not yet available. I sure hope TSE brings these in once they are in production. Seems like you just start to have fun with the colt kits and the mags empty.

I have a atchison, w/ a ten, I saw a 30 I think, where can I get one of those?

TSE won't be bringing them in any time soon as I phoned them and they have basically given up on DPMS because they found them very unreliable, to the point where they won't even order from them.
