AR 5.56 striiper clips. What's the going price on these?

I have gotten the metal NCStar ones from Marstar (currently in stock) and Canada Ammo (currently out of stock) in the past (NIB, not surplus). Work great with my StripLULA loader.

$0.90 a piece seems to be the going rate for the Thermold ones (surplus), if you can find them. Brownells sells them new, stock number 100-005-864WB.

I've seen the metal ones at gun shows in the states for $0.50 a piece, surplus.

Ya which ones? US is metal stripper clip that fits in a metal spoon or the Canadian plastic charger that fits over the mag and the plastic stripper clip fits into it. ( not sure of the PROPER Mil terms as I am NOT Military) I have seen some Canadian stuff at gun shows but not alot of US kit lately. I might! be able to set you up with one spoon and a couple of strippers (US) but I've been expecting to move and have alot of my stuff packed away, can't help with more numbers or any Canadian kit sorry.

I'm referring to the Thermold plastic style. I've got someone wanting to sell me some and I'm not looking to get taken on the deal.

I bought new Thermolds from Jo-Brook in Brandon MB, I think it was $5 or $8 for 10. As noted, only really useful for pistol capacity mags. Load 'em up for a match or course and rock :ar15:

I'm kind of surprised the clips go for as much as reported. They're not particularly useful for bombing up 5 rd mags..

Best used with 10-round pistol mags.

I still use them on 5 rounders though. Still speeds up the process.

Have to disagree. I load all my mags from strippers. Very quick and time can be short in a match between shooting and other duties on a relay. Not saying they are essential but I won't go to a match without them.

AR 5.56 striiper clips. What's the going price on these? Are they hard to get?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I saw some new in box commercial thermold ones for sale at Epps. Maybe give them a call and see what they are priced at? If the ones you are looking at are ex-CF they were obtained for free originally and you should not be paying more than shipping IMO. Selling ex-CF kit is frowned upon and actually illegal I think? (Could be wrong about that but I don't think I am)

The gun centre here in kitchener sells the thermold ones. Call and see what they want for them. They're on the shelf.

Also, I too find the stripper clips super convenient for 5 rnd pmags. Why? Because I jam 5 in, then stick a fresh mag in the stripper guide which already has a clip and 5 rounds ready to go. BAM!

Supa fast!
