I am looking for a 9mm AR, prefer 10". I am not interested in any of the non-restricted variants (already have a Thureon), looking for one that uses a true AR lower. I know IRUNGUNS has one in Canada in 7" and I am saving that as my last option.

Has anyone seen one at a dealer anywhere? Cant seem to find any other than IRUNGUNS

The PSA? That's a nice looking set up.

To add to the discussion, any of those inserts to adapt a standard lower to use Colt style 9mm mags worth the cash? I'd love to get a 9mm upper, but would like the option of being able to switch the lower back to 5.56.

I love my Angstad. They are expensive but the Glock mag last round hold open is what I wanted. Mags are everywhere and cheap. My KCI 10/33round mags work great too and drop free.

Well I have to 'fess up that I am biased but I just bought a complete 10.5" PSA rifle with the Glock mag compatible lower and keymod upper from IRunGuns and it's a pretty hard deal not to like. Comes with the gun, 4 mags (3 of the 31/10 round ETS mags and a 17/10 ETS mag) and a Bulldog floating soft case for about C$1100 all in. I ordered mine last Thursday (they're in the Canadian IRG facility). Don't know how many they have but I just can't see being able to beat this deal price wise. They also had some 7.5" units a little while back (same price & accessories) but they were a little short for my taste.

I have two 9mm conversion ARs (soon to be 3 when my 10.5" PSA gun with the Glock compatible lower shows up). One is a 16" Olympic Arms unit that takes Sten mags. Bought it many years ago & don't know if it's still available but it has been utterly dependable. I also have a 10.5" RRA gun that uses the Colt style mags with a Hahn drop in bottom loading conversion block. It has also been completely reliable. Originally I liked the idea of being able to go back & forth from 9mm to .223 but being basically lazy and given the fact that a complete dedicated lower for the 9mm only cost me about $300 I just leave the 9mm as a dedicated unit.

I probably need the 3rd gun like I need a :kickInTheNuts: but I really like the idea of 10 round Glock mags (or even 13-14 rounds in a Glock 22 mag ) vs. 5 in the other two and I have lots of Glock mags so I figured what the hey. Money's only good for what I can buy with it.

In case the op is contemplating the PSA as I was, I just received a PSA reos response to several questions I had:

"Hello,

Unfortunately, the link you gave me didn't have any product information, but to answer your questions in regards to our AR-9 system :

The hybrid G9 bolt in our newer AR-9 uppers will not hold open after firing the last round. Magazines will not affect this.
You are correct, the lower uses all the same pins, buttons, levers, and springs.
Handguards can be replaced at your convenience. Some handguards require the removal of the barrel nut. This will void your warranty with us.
The thread pitch on our AR-9 is 1/2x36
The hybrid G9 bolt is designed for use with both Glock and Colt style magazines.

If you have any additional concerns, please contact us.

Best regards,

Dylan D.
