I just switched out my safety on my STAG lowers with a couple of LMT ambi selectors. Anyway on the left side it seems to protrude a bit? is that normal for different lower parts and receiver thickness? I'm told that the LMT lower parts are GTG.

Thanks, always good to hear from a Industry pro :)
I did a search to get an idea on some of the fit&finish of various lower parts from different manufactures. The LMT fitted quite well and the selector moves without feeling "gritty" as described by some folks who used the DPMS selector?. Overall it feels like the standard selector. I was curious that the STAG lower might be a different thickness? compared to other lowers (ie LMT, KAC, RRA etc)

Tolerance Stack.

Basically what can happen is the Fire Control Selector Lever detent hole may have been on the wide range of the spec, and the lower may have it on the inside of the spec, or vice versa.

If you ever want to clean up the feel of the selector, check and see if there is flashing on the hole as that can may it tough for the Safety Selector Detent to smoothly 'bump' into place.
