thinking of getting an AR but would like to build one.is it possible to build one that is unrestricted so i can take hunting.also advice on building one or a website on how to.thanks.

Buy the 80% lower from Dlask.
Throw on a 24" upper and use it as a club.

Make sure you use the A2 stock, fill it with cement so you get some good weight.
I can imagine the velocity you would get with the 24" barrel. If you need more just increase the barrel length...

An AR180 IS an AR, just not an AR15. It's another design in the same calibre for the same intended purpose, but from Armalite. It is also a prohib. You can own an AR180B though... it's non-restricted. Make sense? No? Well it doesn't have to! lol.

Now as for taking a real AR15 out hunting - well you would have to design and build a lower receiver that did not get classed as an AR15 but that accepts an AR15 upper, then get it all approved by the RCMP.

No, you'll blow yourself up. No buffer tube - out of battery ignition! (or a bolt through the forehead).

Yes and no. The RCMP had decided that if the receiver mounts, and fires, a standard AR15 upper, it is an AR15 variant.

Honestly, I could do everything I needed to with one lower and a few uppers. If we were going to focus on one gun to make non-restricted it'd be the AR-15.
