Ar dust cover

I bought one of thoes zombie hunter dust covers so i can be identified when shtf. I went to take off my old one on my norinco and noticed there is no c clip on the rod. Has anyone here taken theirs off? How did you do it.

Take the barrel off.

No you don't have to do that if you don't want to. Just buy a new rod with a c clip for a couple of bucks and then cut the old one off. Or take the barell off.

I'll stick with my blank dust cover so that the zombies won't know that I'm after em.

you have to cut the old pin. then buy a new one with clip.

Great thanks. By cutting off the old one will i have to take off the barrel to put the new one in?
