after my last round, ar bolt does not lock back. any idea? no jam except the bolt does not lock back. i would appreciate any info you can provide me. thanks.......
 
Is the bolt catch properly lubed and moving freely? Does this happen with one mag or with all of your mags? If it's just one mag the follower may be deformed. Is this a lower that was factory assembled, or did you assemble it yourself?
 
Yup, probably a magazine issue. Do you have any other mags to try? Can you lock the bolt back manually by pressing down on the bolt-catch? What type of AR and magazine are you using?

i've used 3 brandnew bushmaster mags. the same problem, empty chamber bolt not locking at the lastround. i've tried the mags to my other brandnew armalite ar, its locking back with these mags. by the way, i'm using a eagle arms lower complete lower from wolverine. if only this is a 1911, the slide stop or the mag is the culprit. thanks for all your info, i'll try lube the bolt catch or maybe try to use and different lower receiver.
 
You also might want to try removing the upper receiver assembly, then insert a magazine into just the lower receiver, and then inspect & observe the bolt catch to see if it is rotating properly.
 
Does the mag catch work when you pull back the charging handle on an empty mag?

Just trying to figure out if the mag catch on the rifle is broken off as you had not mentioned doing the above.
