Some people swear by it that you should break in a barrel, a friend who is a competition shooter, for the first 10 rounds he cleans the barrel after each shot, then cleans it after every 10 shots until 100 rounds have been fired thru it

Myth. Just clean whatever packing gunk came with it out, and shoot it. Clean it when accuracy degrades, or you get bored.

If it's chrome lined, don't bother, just shoot it.
