AR in Nanaimo?

I'm seriously considering buying an AR but haven't actually shot one. Would really like to try one first before jumping in on what looks like a new money pit...
I just about pulled the trigger on one of the Canada Ammo DA556 but missed the sale. Would like to try one of these or a nicer AR if possible.
Anyone the would be willing to let me try one at Nanaimo Fish and Game? I will buy the ammo (just tell me what you run), have my membership and range pass, etc.
