Hi I have never shot an IPSC match for rifle, have shot many pistol and one shotgun match probably 10 years ago and I know the question must have already been asked so please forgive me for asking again. Does IPSC Ontario recognize the legal use for 10 rd pistol marked mags in an AR style rifle for sanctioned matches?

No problem using them in my experience.
No penalties ever issued that I'm aware of

You're right I just re-read the rules maximum capacity is 11, 10 rounds in magazine 1 in chamber, and thats for manual action standard 10 only. Semi-auto action, no restriction on capacity whatsoever.

For manual action standard (MAS) it's 6 maximum, 5 in mag 1 in chamber

By the way to anyone who needs info on all the IPSC rifle rules in a nice searchable pdf

Close but a little bit off. In the semi auto divisions you are not limited to 10 rd mags. The IPSC rules state no limit. The IPSC rule exemptions express a 10 rd limit for pistol divisions (except the classic and revolver) so you can't use a 40 mag in a 9 and jam2 more rounds in etc. This is however a pistol rule exemption and has no weight on rifle divisions. So you think a 10rd Lar or ATRS mag is the best you can do. Not quite. A .50 Beowulf mag will hold 15 rds of 223 and the current IPSC international rules, IPSC Canada rule exemptions, and the Canadian firearms act and regulations... can't stop you. Oh of course the match director, CRO's, etc will rave on and on of how you can't but just ask them to prove it.
