I know there are different rules for different organizations, but would a drop-leg mag pouch platform be allowed for multi-gun gaming?

Strongly suggest you reconsider. Your thigh moves a lot more than you think, and mags can stick or be hard to draw. There's a reason why everyone uses belts, chest rigs or plate carriers!

If you run a high riding rig like the Costa or similar that rides just below the belt line like a PROPERLY adjusted holster or mag pouch is supposed to, then you won't have a problem.

This is pretty much bang on. That being said, I only run a thigh rig when I need more mags and a plate carrier isn't practical.

The Costa rig works fine when used properly, and for me works as an add on to my Raven Moduloaders for a lower profile range rig. 4 rifle tacos (2 on the belt, 2 on the Costa) 6 pistol tacos (3 on the belt, 3 on the Costa carrying 4 pistol mags a light and a Mutt). Not a bad set up really, given that it doesn't restrict movement and with a longish jacket, is actually low profile enough to conceal. For God's sake, though, don't wear the rig like a knee warmer, it just tells the world you haven't a clue.

Glad to hear it - you always have to consider your need before you get the gear. What works for one application won't necessarily work for the next, AND what works for one person won't necessarily work for someone else. Ask anyone in the military about the CF Tac vest - a great example of one size fits none.

Loaded up with 2/4 LAR mags, 1 P-mag, 2 Glock 9mm mags, and a 1911 mag to show the comparison of different options for anyone considering a similar rig. This rig varies slightly from the 'Costa' rig, not only with the extra AR pouch, but also different belt hanging straps (no velcro on this, but it does have quick release buckles).

Out of curiosity are LAR mags legal in most games? Are coupled LAR mags legal?

If they are legal, are they normally used in Canadian games, or do most just use single mags for consistent mag changes from a consistent location, and not worry about the 'flipping' of a mag in a pressure situation?

What about the ATRS poly LAR mags that are longer than typical 10 round LAR mags?

I personally use the ATRS mags for all my matches.
If they allow one they will allow the other.
The 20 round body's are good because the spring is not at full compression.

That's exactly what I run for my mags. I actually use the HSGI double decker leg rig. I run it as high as I can, and strap it properly around my leg, and it never creates any issues for me. It actually frees up my movement, especially when crouching down or kneeling to shoot under obstacles or at lower targets...it prevents mags from jabbing up into my abdomen and side when doing so. Also, grabbing a mag is easier for me, since pulling it out of the taco doesn't require a higher draw from my waist...my arm almost falls into its natural "at-rest" position, and my hand is right there on which ever mag I need, pistol or rifle.

I've used chest rigs before, but never found them as convenient as I thought they would be...they can become a bit bulky if you load everything up on them. And shooting prone, doing mag changes at the same time...a bit more effort, in my opinion.

But hey, that's just me...
