i have a vortex sparc on order and it comes with a 2x magnifier.
im wondering if anyone has ever gotten one taken apart and had a 3-5x magnifier lens put in it?
i was using my friends sparc, i like the sight but would really like more magnification behind it without going to a swing mount.
im thinking maybe a shop that makes glasses? i had custom lenses made for my oakleys but no clue if they can or would do this to a magnifier.
other option is put the sparc on a 45 mount (which i already picked up actually) and put on a scope.
i wish someone locally had Vortex so i can look at the 1-4 PST and HS in person... i cant really tel the diference between them online.
ive seen some leupold 1-5 or 1-6's that were nice, including the VX-R
i think ide like a scope that starts between 1-2 power ad goes up to at least 5 times, but ideally 6-7x and i want to keep it as a tube design like the vortex PST or Leupold VX-R. (but both top out @ 4x power.
ive got something else the sparc can go on so if i go with a 1-6x.. there is no point in the sparc, so no big deal.
what so you guys think? should i go with a scope or is it possible to get the factory magnifier made better?
