Was wondering what your preferances are to the manufacture of 5/30 rd m16 / AR type mags? Do some jam less,etc?

Where can a person get the cheapest mags at ? Just about everyone has different price ranges.
 
Buds check out Rocky River Arms, or Questar, there making 10rd'ers that are "good to go" up here. Never mind about the 5rders, go for the 10'ens.
 
TSE sells CProducts 30 round mags for $35 each. I've got several of them and they work well. They've got to be the cheapest in Canada unless you're going to import from the US yourself in large quantity. If I was really looking for mags, I'd save my money and check with Questar later this month for the new 10 round AR Pistol mags for $40 each.
 
I prefer USGI grey aluminum mags with green followers. Some good brands to look out for include: Okay, NHMTG/Colt, Parsons, Adventure, La Belle, Sanchez, FN. HK enhanced reliability mags are said to be of high quality, C Products SS mags are great for the price.
 
I got 5 of the new 10 rounders on pre-order. Should fill all my current and future magazine needs. I will get a 5/30 for normality factor. Now just to get my upper...

Ignorant question: Are the Questar 10 rounders compatible with the AR-180B2?

If so, I think my 858 is a goner.
 
They are 10 round "pistol magazines" and thanks to our laws it does not matter what gun the magazine is used in the rules only apply of the type of the gun it was designed for, and in this case a 10 round marked RRA LAR-15 .223 Pistol.
 
Never, never buy "cheap" magazines! They're "cheap" for a reason and will bring you nothing but frustration and high blood pressure. Buy good quality, name brand magazines and you'll eliminate 90% of most magazine fed "gun problems." I learned that lesson trying to get cheap ass USA magazines to feed regularly. Funny how all those failures to feed/eject went away when I took all my cheap mags and threw them in the garbage and bought quality mags.

AFAIK, all the followers tip except for the Magpul and HK ones. Although you're limited to 5rds so it really wouldn't make much of a difference.
