I just got a JR carbine and I was thinking of turning it into the takedown model. I know I can buy the takedown forend, but I am mulling over making one.
The JR is supposed to take a milspec barrel nut; can anyone tell me the outside diameter of one? I am looking at the main body, not the toothed section. I would measure it myself, but I do not have one here (running an ALG firend on my AR).
