My buddy got a muzzle brake for his Norc 14" AR and it generates awesome fireballs. So what styles of brakes will turn any Norinco AR into a fire-breathing CQBeast?
I know I could just get the same one as my friend, but what fun is that?
The stock bird cage suppresses the flash, not even visible at dusk, while my friend's gun spews out 12" fireballs from an identical 14" Norc upper...
What styles hide flash?
What styles open up the exhaust?
Pictures/feedback appreciated.

You want massive fireballs and one sweet, deep bass kick'n THUMP THUMP THUMP? Pickup a FerFrans CRD modular brake system. They're not cheap but damn they are sweet to listen to.

And then look at different ammo. With SBRs ammo choice will help with the size of fireball (slow burning powder won't help velocity, but sure helps the flame)
.

Armtac has them instock for $115... Im tempted... just to piss off cr5 when I go shooting with him...

You're going to have to get out of bed a little earlier next time you come to do some shooting, showing up at 4 just doesn't leave enough time.
My Rainier Mini Comp on my 12 inch AR was a monster and even a linear on my 6.5 inch threw some nice fireballs.
Bring whatever brake you want, I'll just bring my 338 Lapua and you can sit at the table next to me. I win :)

AR Stoner Competition Muzzle Brake, similar design to the SJC Titan. Worked awesome on my 14.5in Norc. Will try it out on my 10.5 in Colt one of these days.

Questar has these CMMG brakes in stock...

Looks like any large port compensator will have the desired effect.
CMMG and Ranier Mini look to be the most affordable...
SHM loudener and the Socom look great but more expensive...
Decisions, decisions.

I have a Nordic comp and it makes a nice ball in the daytime with a bit of overcast

I imagine at night it would be spectacular.

loud as #### for me tho. the only time I double up on ear protection.
