This could be useful for some people. I just happen to have a Magpul, A2 and BCM together in the same place. I have been looking for a straighter grip for awhile because my wrist has been hurting in the last 2 years. I finally figured what could be part of the cure to my wrist problem when I got to shoot and observe the HK 416 and MR series. However, there is no way I am going to shell out 100 bucks for a HK grip (are you crazy?) The A2 grip has too much of an angle, which forces the wrist to make a steeper angle in relation to the forearm. To make my discomfort go away, I have to extend the stock and always maintain a more angled position. That takes away the flexibility of my positioning.

If your wrist is hurting, maybe a straighter grip could help to relieve some of the discomfort.

Thanks for the review Greentips. Have you looked at the Umbrealla Corp grips that OST is carrying? Too bad they don't have a storage unit in the grip like the MOE grips.

A good cheap solution might be the MOE "K" grip. It has a very straight like grip to it.

Great thread. I don't get wrist pain but I do find that the trigger guard annoyingly rubs the skin off my middle finger. Perhaps a straighter grip would help here too? It's not a big enough worry for me to change my MOE grip just yet.

Love the Hogue but the angle could be straighter for me. there are similar options but they all have a backstop and I don't like that. The BCM Mod 0 looks close but that means spending money to play with it a while to see if I like it or not.

The Umbrella Corp grip is one of the straightest and is what I have switched. No more wrist pain.

We should have another shipment on the way next week.

I had the same issue with wrist pain. Read the same article referenced earlier and went with the ergo grip (from one shot) and its definitely helped. Actually, it's pretty awesome... ;)

If there's going to be a stars and stripes model, then there will also have to be one in the shape of Italy.

Other than that, I would think the more vertical grips reflect the changes in techniques of modern gun handling.
