I don't know much about AR's, but from what I have seen... a Norinco CQ (chinese copy of the AR) is selling for like...700-850 or something like that...

How many rounds through the one you are looking at? Overall condition? If it is low round count, maybe you could look into it more; from where I see it, it seems like a good deal, maybe if you can get the price down a tad more; seeing as norincos sell for nearly the same. If you can get american made parts it may be a good deal!

yes basically im comparing it to the norinco and the CQ copys for a little bit more $$$

Unless it is totaly shot out $900 for a colt upper and smith lower is a steal. Any other AR's except for the new Norcs [$700] are $1250 and up to $2000. Grab it while you can.

See! We both agree! Just make sure that it's not destroyed and the round count is not some nasty high number.

usually Ar's start at 1200+ (like formerfarmer said).

So I would say get it... if not I will. haha

Yup, agreed with everyone above.

As long as it's GENUINELY as you've described, you're getting a good deal.

To put it into perspective, my Bushmaster XM15E2S was about $1,300 a few years ago - brand new. So, $900 for a Colt/Smith in any kind of decent shape is a good deal.

everytime i do this is states "please select the URL of the image" the images were send to me by email, they are not from a website!

Get an account with someone like Photobucket. Upload them there, then use the 'insert image' to link to them.

Bingo. There's your solution.

I use photobucket. Upload, make sure they are 600X800 or smaller and then just copy+ paste the link you get on the photobucket site (when you open up your image on photobucket, there should be an style link beside it on the left hand side... click it and it will flash "copied" in yellow right beside the link (or to be sure you can ctrl+c it ), then you can just paste it here in the CGN textbox.).

Also, if you find a picture somewhere online of it (maybe you already have a link to your gun somewhere), you can just paste that link in that window that pops up for you (the URL one).

Ok heres how is goes, it was in EE black rifles and modern military, the heading was somewhat misleading, it stated something along the lines of "AR15 COLT UPPER MP15" and i clicked on it and it was for a full setup, the price was 800$ so i messaged him and asked ok, what is wrong with this rifle you know for that price it must be f***ed or something i know nothing about these guns so we messaged back forth for a few days and exchanged details i guess he has too many of these or something and builds them himself, i told him i am very interested and had to hold off till i received some pics, keep me first in line, i was a bit leary on buying it still due to the colt/smith combination and you guys were talking about some small pin lower large hole upper, he guarantees the rifle for 6 months and his trader rating is well over 100, i told him the most ill do to the rifle is clean it after the range i dont want a headache or a problem gun!!! so we'll see how it goes it should be here in around 3 weeks due to the deal we made this is my first AR and i did not want to jump into a 1500-2000 setup for my first one so i got it!!!!!! he states 2000 rounds down the pipe but someone said when someone gives an estimate on round count 10X it so i hope theres not 20,000 round down the pipe!!!!!!
thats how it goes everyone!
thanks for all your feedback and making this buy possible, and thanks to the awesome website i log into 20+ times a day! sometimes it makes me think what is more important gun deals or mortgage payments!!!! u guys know how it goes!
