AR question

I was offered up a stripped AR lower for trade on some stuff, my question to you guys as i have no intel on this kind of stuff how much is it worth? and how much would i need to spend to build an AR up from that

What brand is the lower? Affects value.

Depending on whether you buy used parts off the EE or pick and choose via retail, you can do builds around a grand. Or go really expensive with onlyu the "best".

You must have a rpal and follow the proper steps to obtain the lower..(CFO transfer)..if you already have the required info then you can find a few on here, (EE) but prices vary depending on model. I spent a total of $1000. plus or minus 50 bucks to build my AR...having said that, it can turn into an "arms race"....you wanna spend 3 or 4K on a rifle? This is the place to do it! Good luck with your build.

not sure of the brand, i do have my RPAL as well, was just curious, not really into the whole tactical end of things, plus i dont really have much safe room, more of a milsurps kind of guy,

An atrs lower would be worth a good deal of money...standard stripped lower around $175 I would say....blue line had a sale not long ago for $120

Magpul has some lowers out there somewhere where you'd have to sell a kidney to get

Ive seen a few "complete lowers" on here..range any where from $250 and up. You shouldnt have to much trouble moving it through the forums.

They retailed for $120 stripped, they were on sale about two months ago. You'll need too inspect the lower because some were defective.
