I want to purchase a 10.5/11.5 complete upper receiver. Price wise the 10.5" LMT the Armseast N8 and Questar 11.5 are all comparable. Now spec wise they all seem to be close however I always here so much love for LMT so anyone handle any or all or have any unbiased opinions on which is the better deal at roughly the same price. If you could only have 1 which would it be.

My personal favourite length for a 'recreational' AR is 10.5"...less weight, easy to handle, and the 'unfavorable' terminal ballistics don't matter when you're shooting paper.
I have handled, but not shot, the N8...seems well made.
I have no info on the Questar unit, but would have faith that Mark wouldn't put out something that doesn't work...or at least will stand behind if there were any problems.
I own two LMT 10.5" uppers, and they both function perfectly.
I am biased towards LMT ( owning four lowers, as well as five uppers..10.5" X2, 14.5", 16", an MRP with 10.5" and 14.5" DI barrels, as well as a 12.5" gas piston setup!)
I would personally go with the LMT, but you would likely be happy with any of the above.

I run an LMT mk18 build. Love the quality! Put 75gr 5.56 TAP through it if you are worried about terminal performance...

I have owned both LMT and the N8 ...my preference is for the N8 just because of the park under FSB and taper pins...realistically it is a Chevy Ford debate. I cannot take a position on the Questar never having owned one.

Generally I prefer 11.5" barrels, however I have no idea what Questar is using as a base, and the 11.5's I like our ours (KAC) or Colt.
Can't really go wrong with the other two options either.
