I've got a couple of 14.5" AR's(LMT), as well as my new 10.5" RRA, and am in a quandry as to how to outfit them with slings....
My initial preference would be for single point, quick detach units, but I'm open for suggestions/recommendations as far as slings and mounting methods go.

Vickers 2 point, best sling there is. The single points are great for black pajama types who are actively shooting but suck for muzzle control in most competitive and armed civilian courses and training. The 3 points are way too cluttered for me and I hate the strap across my controls. The Vickers sling is perfect for standing around all day and having to shoot for 3 minutes at a time, the rifle also hangs near perfectly at "sul", there is no clutter when employing and adjusts quickly to whatever you are wearing and controls the muzzle. JMO YMMV. Best with the search.

I've got Vickers Combat Application Sling and Viking Tactics. They're both 2 point adjustable slings and I really like both of them for the way they hang when not mounted and I need to go hands free and the ease of adjustablility when mounted. The Vicker's is very much "plug & play" whereas the Viking Tactics requires a little playing around with to get it just right. For a two point adjustable sling, you can't go wrong with either of these models.

The two slings I"m currently running are the Specter Gear SOP (Special Operations Patrol) ERB three point sling. The other is the BFG SOC-C (Contractor Pak). I bought the SOP-ERB from Dave's Surplus and the SOC-C Contractor Pak from Farmboy at One Shot Tactical. Both slings are extremely well designed and made and are easy to adjust.

"SUL" = South, when the gun hangs the barrel faces directly downwards between your feet. I find it a very safe method of carry as I can walk right up to someone and talk to them without the barrel pointing sideways.

That's what I love about this site....
Ask a question and info flows like you know what after a night of beer and tacos!
I have two Vickers slings + appropriate adapters inbound from the guys at One Shot!
Once again, tanks for the update!:D
