ar trigger job with pictures!

The page isn't displaying for me nathan.

I fired aprx. 120 rds through my Armalite this weekend after I did the trigger job. Greatly improved trigger pull and no FTF's.

I would not recommend toying with the hammer spring.

I agree...After replacing my Armalite trigger and hammer springs with a lighter "competition" spring set, I found that I could "beat" the hammer when shooting rapid semi-auto. IOW, I had to slow down because the hammer was falling noticeably slower with the weaker hammer spring, which slowed down the cycle, resulting in me pulling the trigger before the hammer was fully cocked again. I replaced the "competition" hammer spring with the OEM Armalite spring (leaving the "competition" trigger spring installed) and it was a much more satisfactory arrangement.
Nice tip in the article regarding using Autosol to polish the contact points on its own without deliberate hand polishing. ;)

Ok should work now. and I did add to my disclaimer that it works for me and that you should have extra springs just in case blah blah blah.
I'll have to go to the range with another crate of 1000 and go through them as fast as I can and then see if I have any ftf's.
