Hi all,
I installed a JP spring kit in my armalite carbine. It went in easy and lightened up the pull, still some creep to it, but that should work itself out.
What has not become better is the clunky reset. Is there anything I can do to smooth that out, (ie: should a sand down the top of the trigger so it resets easier, and then polish the hell out of it?)

What should I be carefull with,,....I don't want to have to replace it from messing it up,,,:)

You don't mention if it is still your original Armalite hammer and trigger but either way, my suggestion is, don't touch, sand, polish, grind, etc the surface of your hammer/trigger engagement. They may have been heat treated and you will lose the hardness if that is done.

Some guys have done it with some success, but a lot of guys have done it, to find they must now find another hammer or trigger.

Also most of the "klunk" you hear from the trigger reset is probably from the hammer being released from the disconnector back to the trigger.

sorry, yes it is the OEM hammer and trigger.
I did polish the front of the trigger very little, as it had very rough scratches on it.
