AR type pistol grips on Tapco SKS

So I tried putting a tangodown on my tapco to find that the tapco doesnt accept it. I used a file to file down the male end on the tapco stock and redrilled through the pistol grip into the stock so that it would line up. it looks good but its not very solid.

I wondered if anyone else tried this with better results

Does the Tapco use an AK type grip? if so there is a AK to AR grip adapter available. Tried searching for the grip type, but have not found anything yet.
