AR upper recomendations

OK, now that my perfect plan for a 14.5 inch 1:7 bbl is in total disaray...

I need recomendations on a 14.5 inch 1:9 chome lined M4 profile 'flat top' upper.

I can't seem to find a 14.5 inch upper on the RRA website... where did you get it?

BTW, that is a nice and clean looking AR
 
It is a home build, it was a
-stripped RRA, Upper, 14.5 inch barrel gotten off a fellow GN, not sure the manufacturer, barrel is labeled 5.56 NATO 1-9,
-Stripped RRA Lower, with RRA Parts kit
-Bushmaster "fatty" carbine handguards (6 bucks e-bay factory take offs)
-6 position colapsable stock
-phantom flashider (not permently attached)
-cheap-O vertical grip,
-ARMS BUIS not sure which way i want to go with optics yet, would like an ACOG but i am cheap right now,

Get the LMT that you were looking at. Its the best stuff you can buy here in Canada. Stag is also very good. LMT would be my first choice since I have one, and Stag would be my second choice. I would get 1:7

it's been a while, can you refresh my memmory what bullet weights work with these twist listed below? Which is more versitile with all bullet weights? my shooting will be from 50 yards to about 400 yards max. Would it matter if the barrel is 14.5 or 16" also thinking of building a 20" target bull barrel for a second AR.

1:7 twist

1/7 is the milspec, but the reason for that isn't necessarily applicable to what's the best choice for recreational shooting.

If the PE90 is 1:10 and their bullet is 63gr, I think thats not accidental.

If you know you'll be shooting frangable (long) or heavy bullets, (or just want a 1/7) get the 1/7. But if you're shooting 55/62 all the time, 1/9 is probably your better choice.

How important any of this is also depends on the type of shooting you are doing. Precision shooting or action shooting, if both, what ammo?
