I am in the market for a complete upper/BCG (5.56/.223 Wylde 16" or 18" 1:8 or 1:7 twist).

I don't have the tools or knowledge to build one myself. The uppers at TNA seem decent, however the rail on handguard does not appear to be level with the rail on the upper.

Should I post a WTB ad, buy something from TNA or are there other options/suppliers that would be able to deliver a decent, cost effective package.

If you are looking at EE, pop in the part and accessories subform. Some seem overpriced, but there are deals to be had from time to time.

Check Dlask and Canadaammo. I think they have pretty good deals atm. Around $500, seems to be about as low as they get. If I could find one that cost $250, I'd buy 10 of them today!

If you have cash to burn.

CC 15.7" IUR is an awesome carbine gas length upper. Shoots really well.

If you want rifle gas length, Daniel Defence 18" V7Pro S2W is very good too.

The OP said .223 wylde.
Do any body even sell a complete upper with a .223 wylde chamber?

You can buy a complete PSA freedom AR for $630 all in.

I am leaning towards the DLASK upper/BCG at $499. 1:9 twist - my range only has 100M bays - I don't really need a fast twist for that distance.

I want to be able to register the complete rifle ASAP for obvious reasons.

One last question - how long does it take to "register" the lower and upper as a firearm? Do I have to take it to a verifier or just call in and provide calibre and barrel length?

Call in with calibre and barrel length. They'll update it through a CFO and then you get a new certificate in the mail.
