Shouldn't the AR10B be non-restricted? It looks like it is based on the original AR10 and not the AR15 and it is semi not FA:

No, the AR 10 series is restricted regardless of barrel length.
Not entirely true. For all intents and purposes, the AR10 rifles built now days are restricted as they are basically a 7.62mm AR15.

How ever, there are a few factory original semi-automatic Armalite AR10's built from the original AR10 rifle back before the AR15 came about. These are non-restricted. There is rumored to be a couple in Canada, although I've yet to see any proof to the rumors.

"...Is it based on the AR15?..." Nope. The AR-15/M16 was developed from it. They're scaled down AR-10's.
The original AR10 was select fire. There have been some sold up here, but they're 12(3)'s. The current models are semi-auto only copies of the original rifle. Our idiot government says they're an AR variant.

This is only true of the original AR-10 design. The rifle that Armalite currently sells is a scaled up AR-15 using modified M14 mags and is completely different from the original design. The KAC and DPMS rifles are truer to the original design in that they can use the original AR-10 waffle mags, but they too are simply scaled up Ar-15s.
