AR15 10 shot mags

Alright i've looked at all the threads on 10 rnd pistol mags for the ar-15 and i still don't understand.

Can you load ANY ar15 with 10 rounds as long as its in a pistol marked mag? or do you need a special AR to do it with?

If the mag was made for the Carbon 15 pistol you can use it in your AR15, all 10 rounds. Kind of confusing isn't it.

It's the mag that's allowed 10 rounds.

The gun you use the mag in has no bearing on the discussion.

Think of it this way, the gun is not the deciding factor.

The way the law is written, the magazines are the part that is controlled. Therefore, if the magazine is legal, you can load it in anything it will fit.

In short, only pistol magazines can be loaded to 10 rounds.
