Anyone have any feedback on these AR15 22LR Conversion Kit Uppers? thinking of getting one for winter shooting. what are the better ones to look for? The kit I'm looking for must be a complete upper/barrel kit.

I have the Spikes .22lr conversion kit... absolutely love it.
I would assume the complete upper would be as good, if not better.

The complete uppers are very good... I like the CMMG one... Good price point, working forward assist, working bolt hold open/release, etc...

The conversion bolts from CMMG are also very good.

ATI Chiappa .22LR Caliber Upper Half anyone use this ?

what is the price of a CMMG & Spikes .22lr conversion kit? aren't these just a bolt carrier & mag kit? I'm looking for the complete upper kit.

just wondering if it's worth buying an upper kit, as the S&W M&P 15-22 would be the same idea.

I have an extra AR lower I was thinking of using to do this project.

Chiappa is a plastic recevier and also has no gas system or a vent whole even drilled on the barrel. The gas block is screwed in place by a torex screw and also the flash hidder is done this way to. Meaning no AR15 flash hidder will work unless you get it de-threaded. I am still in the process of making some rail's and a flash hidder that will work for this but it seems to like the mini-mag's and dosn't like to be feed to many of the soild lead tips. Plus there is no rear iron so I had to by 1 too. This was scary as it was attaching to plastic and you defenatly don't want to over tighten it. The good thing about the "fake" front sight, it does take AR-15 front post's. Besides all of this I still don't think I would recomend it to anyone.

i have a chiappa upper will go along with what satain said. i do like the fact that it is a complete upper for the price. it is a quick change have mine on a norc M4 it allows me to use it at my indoor pistol range and helps me get used to and break in the trigger. alot of newbs I take can try out the AR platform without the fear of the kick. i may buy another lower one day and have a dedicated but for now i dont mind the switch out.

I have the Spike's Tactical conversion kit and am very happy with it. It's very easy to swap parts and I can use the same optics (a TAO1 ACOG). I find .223 and 22 are similar in terms of point of impact out to 50 yards. If you keep the same upper you can practice with the same optics unless you have lots of money to spend and buy two of everything.

I have the Tactical Solutions M4 .22 upper..
100% reliable and accurate.

I have a new unfired one available in the EE if anyones interested... Selling it with three new BDM 26rnd mags. Maint kit and magpul buis...
