Ar15 A3 primary optic

I just put together an ar15 and I was leaning towards a specific sight, scorpion prismatic red dot sight with laser specifically. Has anyone out there ran this sight before? Also what are your opinions on red dots on an ar15. Any other recommended sights?

I don't have any experience with Scorpion optic but here's my personal experience with red dot sights. Don't cheap out on optics you'll only end up buying twice. I own a Vortex SPARC, EOTech EXPS, Aimpoint PRO and H-1 and I think the best bang for your buck is the Aimpoint PRO.

It would feel better punching yourself in the face than buying a giant heap of garbage like the 'scorpion red dot with laser'. So bad. My opinion only...

For budget optic, get a Holosun 403G and a micro mount. Don't waste your time with junk like NCStar and Scorpion (in my opinion).

I have an Aimpoint PRO, Eotech 512, and Aimpoint Micro H1. Both the PRO and Eotech 512 are around the same price, and I love them both, great optics for the money. The H1 is a little pricier, especially because you have to factor in an AR height mount for it, but it's pretty slick too, it's main advantage being it's light weight and low profile.
As already said, best not to waste your money on the Chinese made red dots.
