AR15 buttstock removal

Hey,
I don't know anything about ARs. I am trying to remove the buttstock. After I take of the rear pad the butt comes off leaving a long black aluminum tube. How do I remove this tube? Is it just tight or is there a release pin somewhere? I want to put another collapsable butt stock on it.

I got it, there were flats at the rear under a plastic cap. It came right off from there.

just dont lose the little spring for the rear takedown pin when you pull off the stock.
