I am in the process of swapping out the FSB from my Norinco CQ 5.56 and replacing it with a A.R.M.S. 41 Folding Front Sight with integral gas block. The issue is with the gas tube, the main gas port hole as well as the pin retaining holes on the Norinco gas tube do not line up with the ARMS holes, they as misaligned by approx. 3/16". So do I just order a new gas tube or would it be possible to enlarge/elongate the gas tube hole to accommodate the opening in the ARMS gas block?
If I enlarge/elongate the gas port hole am I effecting the performance of the gas system? The tube is a very tight fit right now, as a matter of fact I have to sand it down just to get into the ARMS gas block.
Ok next question, if I am to get a new gas tube, anyone know who has them in stock in Western Canada? I don't want to wait 5-7 business days to get one from ArmsEast (Sorry Walter - items from Montreal are taking 5 days, I can only imagine NFLD would be a few days longer)
Thanks!
