AR15 disassembly tools

I would like to remove the hand guard and gas block from my Colt Car A3 Hbar Elite. I'm not sure exactly how this in done and what tool(s) I may need to do the job. It appears I can drift out the pins that hold the gas block to the barrel, slide it off, remove the gas tube and then unthread the hand guard from the upper. I'm sure it is easier said than done. I'd appreciate any help.
