I have an ar15 armalite with a 14.5" barrel i had an a2 stock on it and it ejected back and to the right like my colts

yesterday I put on a 6 pos telle stock so i changed the buffer tube, spring and buffer Now the rifle ejects forward I thought that kinda strange

plus it will suck for collecting brass in the winter as they will now land in the snow

is this normal for the ejecting to change like that?

rifle functions 100% allways has

Did you inadvertently change the position of the bolt and extractor/ejector position on re-assembly of the bolt group?
All my ARs eject slightly to rear right, and I can't recall an AR that spent brass forward of the shooter.

Maybe the brass is catching on the ejection port and pitching forward like a Sig? What kind of shape is the brass in?

The case spun and hit the tip of the case deflector. Seen it with ultra short AR before. My guess is something to do with the timing of unlocking, and hence the balance between chamber wall resistance and the velocity of the bolt carrier is different from before. A H buffer or 2H buffer might produce different results but there is not any guarantee. The first question is probably that where did you get the carbine spring and buffer?

AEI sells H and 2H buffers. While you are doing that, get the extractor upgrade kit from AEI as well. All M4 comes with at least H buffer these days. It is still beyond me why STAG, LMT, Armalite and eveyone is still shipping regular weight. This is probably the cheapest way to adjust it - on the other hand, if it shoots then it is probably ok. My theory is that the extraction is slightly too early, therefore the resistance of the case wall counteracts the acccleration of the ejector. The force on the casing is reduced and it does not get tossed out as far, and therefore it hits the deflector at a different spot. If you increase the weight of the buffer, it needs more force to push the buffer - this means a longer time is required to get to the pressure and therefore slowing down the unlocking down.
