AR15 Fieldstrip ........Can you beat an 11yr old girl !

Come one guys, the AR is not a difficult firearm to field strip. To include removing the handguards without tools. Its basic familiarization skills.

I could kick her ass field strip ,assemble and a PROPER function test every time, anytime...53 seconds she needs way more practice.....:)

I didn't want to be the first one to say it.

She obviously has a great command of how to strip the weapon, and the little "wrist flip" to re-extend the bolt in the carrier displays a level of comfort with the component parts that is impressive in an 11 year old. She's invested the time, is enthusiastic about the subject, and knows her stuff.

But.

Whoever taught her that "function test" did her a disservice. The test after re-assembling the weapon serves a purpose, and the "#### and fire once" routine doesn't accomplish that goal.

Sorry...handguards are part of the detail strip IIRC. No need to remove for the field strip.

I did give her bonus points for removing the extractor and buffer assembly. I think that they're part of the detail strip as well.

I may be wrong about that. Maybe someone that's taught the C7 recently can refresh us on this. Since '99 the only AR's I've stripped have belonged to me, and it's been a long time since I've read the pam.
