Hello all.

I found some pierced primers recently and it looks like it was caused by my firing pin. Anyone else had this problem?

I was using CCI small rifles but stopped since they were flattening due to soft cups so I switched to Remington small rifles. My flattening stopped but now I found my firing pin is dented.

The rifle is a sa20 btw

Here are the pictures

Firing pin is NOT fine, its toast.

A blow primer can cause this type of gas erosion on the firing pin tip, you need to start using CCI Military primers and replace the firing pin. Also double check you powder charge and make sure your not over MAX pressure.

Also inspect your firing pin channel inside the bolt for blown primer bits.
