AR15/M16 Front Sight Assy Question

I've got a AR15/M16 front sight assembly I want to put on an early 90's California ban Colt Sporter.

This thing has has a crown cast into it next to the gas hole.

Who/What is the manufacturer ?

If it's like this one, it's Colt.

It was used on Colt Carbines in the 1980s, this one's on a 723 barrel.

The Crown is next to the gas tube pin hole.

Hmmmm, the crown on mine is more defined and is on the opposite side of the hole

The FSA is for the .750 barrel.

Doc, can you post a photo of your FSA?

Not sure if I've also seen Stag uppers with a crown on the front sight base.

Anybody have a Stag upper to take a close look?
