It takes about 50lbs of force to get the magazine to catch on the mag release, I had a peak and didn't see any burrs or dents inside the magwell.

Olympic arms

unknown make 30 round mag and colt 20 round mag both having issues.

upon furthur inspection, it looks like the little rails on the upper, on either side of the bolt carrier when viewed from beneath, that directly contact the magazine, are the problem. Visual inspection and rubbed off blueing and scratches were my clues.

I wouldn't file any part of an anodized part. Removing the anodizing, compromizes the alloy's integrity.

As a previous AK user and now M305 user, it was hard for me to adjust to the fact that you cannot load a mag doing little curve, e.g. front corner of the mag first and then back side = the mag at the bottom make a little curve.

Instead you should insert it straight up (which is hard to do with 30/5 mags due to old habit). Think about handgun. No curved movements, just straight up and down.

? I think you replied to the wrong topic.

Either that or you think I can't load an ar15 mag...
