Hey,

Just wanted to throw this out there for some manufacturers to consider. I think it would be great to have some 30 rd mags build for the mossy MVP in .223 *wink wink*, or some 20rd mags for the mossy MVP in .308 *wink wink*.

Let's build this thread up so maybe someone gets on it.

You've got a problem with high capacity mags?
What do you work for the rcmp?

No, I'm guessing he's got a problem with people thinking that they've come up with a way to get around mag restrictions. The 5.56 MVP takes AR mags, the 7.62 takes both M14 and .308 AR mags. They are marketed as such. Therefore, there will be no mags made specifically for them, as they are all mags designed for a semi auto centrefire, which means they're limited to 5 rounds (or more, i.e. LAR, Beowulf, etc). The end.

OP, Learn more about what you are talking about before you open your mouth or in this case start typing. The best way around the magazine capacity laws would be for someone to develop a 20 or 30 round magazine for a Remington 700 or Savage model 10. To me though, 10 is enough in a bolt action, if you need more than that you are using the wrong rifle and all you are doing is getting your barrel hot for nothing. The MVP I got to shoot was surprisingly accurate so unless you are a really bad shot you shouldn't need more than a couple shots to take down any critters you point it at.
You don't get tight groups pounding rounds down range as fast as you can cycle the bolt and no matter how you look at it you still spend the same amount of time loading mags which is a nice way to let your barrel cool and check your target. A couple pistol mags is all a guy really needs in a bolt action rifle.

Why don't you spend some time trying to figure out how to get around the stupid capacity restriction in an AR? That's the place we could really use more rounds, once that is done you could use those mags in your MVP and cook the barrel in record time.

And just so you know, since they are magazines for the AR and M14 platform 20 and 30 round mags are standard capacity magazines, what we have in Canada are neutered magazines which came about to make stupid people feel safe after some liberal brainwashing convinced them that no criminal would dare drilling out a rivet before committing a crime with a firearm since that would be illegal.

As mentioned, it can't be done. Every so often some uninformed person will pop in here and thing they have come up with something no one else has thought of. Trust me, smarter and better connected people than you have thought of every thing you have, especially the obvious ones.

All right first of all,
the .556 mvp takews both ar mags and mvp mags so it's worth a a shot.

And secondly, this may be a new concept for you, but if all the oarsmen don't row in the same direction the boat won't go forward.
.30/06 FTW and cr5 are both providing good input but if you (armedsadk) don't have anything useful to say that why don't you lock it up.
